Prime directive

One of my favourite moments in the beginning of a retrospective is the reading of the primce directive by Norman Kerth:

“Regardless of what we discover, we understand and truly believe that everyone did the best job they could, given what they knew at the time, their skills and abilities, the resources available, and the situation at hand.”

I love how this sentence reflects the attitude of “good intentions”.
It also refers to the pattern of TA (Transactional Analysis) “I am ok, you are ok”.

What if we’d extend this approach from the time of the retrospective to the whole duration of a project?
