Lunch roulette

This is a work hack I really love! And one of the best tools to encourage communication and connection across departments even more i remote environments.

The process typically involves using a software platform or tool to randomly pair individuals from different departments or teams. Participants then schedule a lunch meeting at a mutually convenient time, allowing them to step away from their desks and engage in meaningful discussions over a meal.

The benefits of Lunch Roulette are quite a few. Firstly, it supports a sense of camaraderie and community within the organization by breaking down silos and encouraging cross-departmental interactions. These serendipitous encounters often lead to new friendships, collaborations, and ideas that may not have emerged through traditional channels.

The system of a Lunch Roulette promotes diversity and inclusion by creating opportunities for individuals from different backgrounds and roles to connect. It helps bridge gaps between departments and hierarchies, fostering a culture of openness and collaboration.
